This page is for anyone who might want to have me come out and play. I  love playing house concerts and other small concert venues, like art galleries.

I'm a member of AFM Local 1000, so my rates are dictated by the union.  I charge $120 or a negotiable percentage (usually 50%-80%) of the door,   whichever is greater. On top of this fee is a 10% charge for the  musicians' retirement fund. So it comes to a minimum of $132.00. This is if the show is part of a tour, a series of shows. If you want me to make a special trip to your town, the cost could be much more.

I prefer it if you can provide a bed, but I travel with my own bedding and a fold-out foamy, so even just a place on the floor is fine. Or I can take a motel room, but I prefer not to.

In case you are planning to feed me, you should know that I'm alergic to shrimp, prawns, crab, lobster...I can eat oysters, scallops, clams...and I love fish, and I also think the California Roll is the all-time ultimate food (the little bit of crab in there has never caused me any trouble).

My show these days is a mixture of songs, stories, poetry and readings from books I've written.

Most of the time I prefer not to use amplification, but in case it's needed I also travel with my own sound equipment, so you don't need to supply me with anything along those lines.
